Basically, Shimla is situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh and it is the capital city. It is the land of mountains and resorts. 1 Mall Road
It is the main meeting point and commercial center of Shimla, It was built during British colonial rule. Here are the offices of the municipal corporation, fire department, and police headquarters. Mall road has several showrooms, shopping centers, hotels, and cafes. If you love the handicraft of Himachal then there is a famous Himachal emporium that offers locally designed woolen items of clothing, branded clothing, ceramics, wood product jewelry also.
2. Jakoo Temple
It is one of the ancient temples in Shimla which is dedicated to the Hindu religious god hanuman. It is situated near jako hills. At this place, hanuman takes a rest while searching for sanjivni booty for Lakshman. You can visit this place on foot, horse and ropeway.
3.Kali Bari
Kali Bari is a Hindu temple which is located in Bantony hill Shimla. The temple is famous for the name of Goddess kali known as shyamala, after whom the city of Shimla is named. It was built in 1845 by a Bengali Brahmin Ram Charan Brahmachari. It is one of the ancient temples in Shimla with a Hindu architect. Inside the temple, there is the very unique idol of kali which is made up of wooden and in blue color. It is located in the mid of the city center. This temple attracts lots of tourists every year.
4.Tara Devi Temple
Tara Devi temple is one of the most visited religious places in Shimla. It is located about 11 km from the city of Shimla. It is also situated at the height of 7200 ft. This temple is built by the king of the Sen dynasty in 1766 AD. Inside the temple, there is the idol of the goddess which is made up of Ashtdhatu eight precious elements. During Durga puja, this place has been fully decorated for the devote.
5.Kufri
Kufri is famous for its hill station in Shimla. It is situated 20 km from Shimla, there are lots of restaurants and hotels with a huge variety of food. If you are a lover of food and want to taste a variety of dishes make sure this place fully satisfied your desire. Kufri is the highest point of Himachal.
